Who:What:Where:When

Who: This is open to the Farang staff and Thai staff who work in either building 1 or building 2. It is also possible to bring a friend on a space available basis. There is no requirement for anyone to participate in this but it is incredible opportunity to see a part of Thailand that most people don’t ever get to see. Because of the roughness of the trip, minimum age of children is 7 years old.

What:
We will need to prepare a program. The program will consist of a Bible story, games, singing and crafts. We welcome lots of help. If you would like to help with games, singing, or crafts email Ann Bone. Her email address is: ABone@pobox.com We will present the donated items depending on the money that is contributed. We will leave the village to spend the night at a rustic resort.

Where:
Mae Sariang. The ride from Chiang Mai to Mae Sariang is about 2-3 hours, an additional 3 hour ride from there will be over about 18 kilometers of the road is cement, beyond this 35 kilometers is rough terrain. Only trucks will go on this trip. We will stay overnight at a rustic resort that has a few rooms and a campground. Anyone wishing to camp may bring along their own tent, sleeping bag, etc. There is a cost for the overnight part but it depends on whether you camp or stay in a room. Camping is around 100 baht. The rooms are around 1,000 baht.

When:
The Donation Project will take place on the weekend of January 15-16, 2011. We will gather at the office on Saturday, January 15 at 5:30am to load up and pray together, then head out. We hope to reach the village by noon and bring lunch for the children and eat with them.
